Khordad National Uprising

Khordad National Uprising was a popular movement in Iran that occurred in 1963. It was sparked by the arrest of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who later became Iran’s Supreme Leader. The movement called for the restoration of democracy and civil liberties and played a significant role in the Iranian Revolution of 1979.
