Austrian Airlines later confirmed that its first Vienna\u2013Isfahan\u2013Shiraz service departed on 2 July 2017. The carrier announced four weekly flights, with a stop in Isfahan, in its <a href=\"https:\/\/travelprnews.com\/austrian-airlines-inaugurates-flight-to-shiraz-iran-62313456890\/travel-press-release\/2017\/07\/03\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3 July 2017 press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That launch announcement confirms the service operated in 2017.
