UNESCO&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/tentativelists\/5197\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tentative List entry for Abyaneh<\/a>, submitted in <strong>2007<\/strong>, mentions features associated with the Sasanian period and later buildings. <strong>Abyaneh is on the Tentative List, not the UNESCO World Heritage List.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The village&#8217;s relative isolation has helped sustain some local traditions, but its history includes change and interaction with neighbouring communities.
