That is the reported age of the waterworks, rather than the age of every passage, support or visitor facility now seen underground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The route passes beneath a roof containing shells and fossil material. Researchers have dated coral from Kish\u2019s raised reef terraces to more than one Late Pleistocene interval. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seasonal rain replenished the island\u2019s groundwater.
