{"id":82636,"date":"2024-08-17T08:24:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-17T08:24:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/?p=82636"},"modified":"2024-08-17T08:24:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-17T08:24:55","slug":"in-pictures-restoration-of-the-tomb-of-cyrus-the-great","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/in-pictures-restoration-of-the-tomb-of-cyrus-the-great\/","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Restoration of the Tomb of Cyrus the Great"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The restoration and management project for the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/pasargadae\/\">Pasargadae<\/a><\/strong> site and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/tomb-of-cyrus-the-great\/\">Tomb of Cyrus the Great<\/a><\/strong> is now in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pasargadae World Heritage Base recently released images showcasing the restoration work at the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/top-5-cheap-hotels-in-kashan\/\" title=\"Top 5 Cheap Hotels in Kashan\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"10709\">Tomb of Cyrus<\/a>. Earlier this year, it was announced that six national conservation and restoration projects would be implemented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/surfiran.com\/mag\/pasargadae\/\">Pasargadae World Heritage site.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restoration work includes cleaning damaging elements from the tomb\u2019s surface and reinforcing weakened areas, as shown in the released images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other ongoing projects include landscaping the entrance area, clearing the site of weeds, launching the first phase of the tourism infrastructure project, monitoring the site and its protected zones, organizing the emergency exit, preserving and restoring the stone tower, revising the site boundaries, safeguarding and restoring museum maps, and enhancing lighting around the
