Kolbadi Historical House of Sari E-Ticket


Kolbadi House is a historical building with unique architecture in the Sari city of Iran.

The house was established with the name of Amirieh, in the end of Qajar period, by the order of Jalil Kolbadi the commander, one of the army’s chiefs. After Jalil the commander, Manuchehr Khan Kolbadi, one of the landowners and the member of parliament bought this building.

Finally, the house was reconstructed by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in 1370 SH and in was converted into the museum of history, archaeology and ethnography of Sari people. This house is located in Barq intersection, before Sa’at square.

The architecture style of the building is taken from shrines in Qajar era and it consists of two interior and exterior sections. The main part of the house is established in two floors in the interior section and a basement and each floor has a dais and two-way rooms.

The dais on the second floor is one of the most beautiful roms of the house and every part of it reminds one of the decorative arts in Qajar period. The materials used to construct this house are woods and bricks and its roof is in gable form and made of adobe.
