Tabiat Bridge is a 270-metre pedestrian bridge in northern Tehran that crosses Modarres Expressway and links Taleghani Park with Ab-o-Atash Park. Completed in 2014, it was designed as both a route between two green spaces and a public place where people can pause, meet and take in views of the city.

Architecture and Design
The bridge was designed by Diba Tensile Architecture, led by Leila Araghian and Alireza Behzadi. Its curved steel structure has two continuous deck levels, with third-level viewing platforms above the tree-shaped supports. Ramps, stairs, seating areas and varied paths make the bridge more than a simple crossing.
In 2016, Tabiat Bridge received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The award highlights how the project turned transport infrastructure into an urban gathering space while connecting the surrounding parks.
What to Expect
Visitors can walk between Tehran’s Taleghani and Ab-o-Atash parks without crossing the expressway below. The bridge has several places to sit and offers different perspectives from its multiple levels. Conditions and on-site businesses can change, so check locally before relying on specific opening hours or dining options.
Planning a Visit
Tabiat Bridge is in the Abbas Abad area of northern Tehran. It works well as part of a walk through the two adjoining parks. Late afternoon and early evening are popular times for city views, while daylight is better for seeing the bridge’s structure and surrounding landscape.
