Iran is one of the worst-hit countries outside China, where the Covid-19 virus – which causes the coronavirus disease – originated.

To be more precise, Iran is ranked 4th after China, Italy, and South Korea. The good news is that currently most infected people with the virus have recovered and discharged from hospitals.

The authorities have taken various measures like closing the schools, putting public religious ceremonies on hold and urging people to stay at home and not leave for unessential activities. Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has canceled a speech he was expected to deliver to a large crowd in the holy city of Mashhad for Nowruz, the Persian New Year which has been a tradition for ages.

Supplying the hospitals and clinics and hard work of the medical community in Iran and raising awareness of people, there is great hope that by the end of April, as the weather gets warmer, the Coronavirus epidemic in Iran can get under control as the weather gets warmer in Spring.
