Nay-Band village is one of the examples of stair-stepped architecture in South Khorasan province, which is called as Masuleh of the desert and it is so amazing that it resembles a green island in the middle of the desert.
Life on this green island has been going on thanks to the water of its aqueducts for years and has led to the formation of a paradise in the heart of the desert of Lut. Nay-Band village always attracts many tourists due to its traditional texture and clay, citrus and palm trees and spectacular views, garret, hot and cold springs, special animals such as Asian cheetahs, etc.
The unique village of Nay-Band, which has been registered in the list of national monuments of Iran, is located in the Lut desert and there is no settlement within a radius of 200 km. Nay-Band village is located in Kavir village as one of Tabas’ tourist attractions.
The existence of the Aliabad mountains, Abshalmeh, and Nay-Band mountains have turned this into a mountainous region. These mountains have a height difference of about 2,500 meters compared to the Lut desert, and Nay-Band is the highest of them with a height of 3,050 meters.
Along with the natural and historical attractions of this region, what is of great interest to environmentalists is the Iranian cheetah. Nay-Band region is one of the few untouched places in Iran, which is considered the habitat of Asiatic cheetah.
