It is scarce and precious in finer grades and has been prized as a gemstone and ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its unique hue.

The turquoise mine is intertwined with the history of Iran, and it is the national stone of Iranians. For thousands of years, the best type of turquoise has been found in this region, and the color of Neyshabur turquoise is synonymous with the best turquoise color in the world.

Among Iran’s turquoise mines Neyshabur turquoise mine is one of the most important turquoise mines in the country and even at the world level, and because of its excellent quality, especially the Ajami and Shajri varieties, it has a special reputation.

Neyshabur turquoise mine is located in Madan-e Olia village in Firuzeh Rural District, in the Central District of Firuzeh County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran, with a reserve of 9 thousand tons and an annual production capacity of 19 tons.

Neyshabur turquoise mine is one of the oldest turquoise mines in the world, where the turquoise stone has been being extracted since 2000 years ago. Neyshabur turquoise mines are divided into two groups, soil, and mountain, which are currently mined in the mountainous part by traditional methods.
