Overview
The Great Museum of Khorasan with various objects of different historical eras is located in the Kuhsangi area of Mashhad, the center of Khorasan Razavi province, northeast of Iran.
Khorasan special earthenware and metal works, the firepots of the Sasanian dynasty fire temples in Dargaz area (northeast of Iran), brick inscriptions from the Sassanian dynasty, a prominent rock relief from the Islamic era and a windmill are being kept in the Great Museum of Khorasan.
Also, there are exquisite works of Shahnameh, manuscripts of Quran and clothes of people of south Khorasan in the museum.
