Qajar Museum (Amir Nezam House)

A Living Testament to the Rich History and Cultural Heritage of Iran

The Amir Nezam House, also known as the Qajar Museum of Tabriz, is a magnificent historical building in Tabriz’s Sheshghelan district, one of the city’s oldest quarters. This architectural marvel, now a museum dedicated to the Qajar dynasty, covers a sprawling area of 1200 square meters.

A Historical Jewel in Tabriz

Built during the era of Crown Prince Abbas Mirza (1789-1833), the Amir Nezam House was later renovated by Hasan-Ali Khan Garroosy, the Major-domo of the Azerbaijan province.

This edifice served as his residence and, subsequently, as the official residence for provincial governors of Azarbaijan. Despite facing potential demolition due to neglect, the building underwent extensive renovation from 1993 to 2006 and has since been recognized as a National Heritage site.
